Rapid Diagnostek is
utilizing proprietary technology to develop a new generation
of in vitro diagnostic tests through the use of our patented
RFPS™ (radio frequency phase shift) detection technology
and our disposable IntelliProbe Immunosensor™ (IPI™).
We are making this elegantly simple technology platform available
for licensing by companies in the human health, veterinary medical,
food safety, and environmental testing markets. Our technology
is useful for performing tests that are sensitive and specific,
easy to use and interpret, provide results in minutes, are cost
effective, and require no added reagents. Because tests performed
using this technology require far less time and don’t
require the use of trained technicians, the end users will generate
considerable savings without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
The IPI™ system is useful for detecting and quantifying
viruses, bacteria, antibodies, tumor markers, hormones, and
other biomolecules associated with diseases affecting animals
and humans. It lends itself to making products for performing
tests in minutes to be used in physicians’ and veterinarians’
offices, at home, on the farm, in ambulances and hospitals,
in slaughterhouses and food processing plants, and virtually
anywhere there is a need for environmental testing. .
Examples of platform diagnostic technologies that have been
the basis of very profitable businesses are ELISA (enzyme linked
immunosorbent assay) that has become the foundation of the immunodiagnostic
industry and more recently PCR (polymerase chain reaction).
Boerhinger Mannheim owns the PCR patent rights and is dominant
in the DNA amplification market which generates hundreds of
millions in revenues. Our RFPS™ technology can ultimately
replace ELISA and can be married with PCR and other DNA amplification
technologies to provide even faster results. |
